I have never been seen as one to stay in a box. Growing up, I was always involved in the arts, whether it was singing in the choir (in both church and school) or playing the violin. I have always had that creative itch. When I was in the 7th grade, I decided to go full throttle into theatre. I auditioned for and got accepted into DeKalb School of the Arts and then stayed in-state at Kennesaw State University to study Theatre and Performance Studies with a Concentration in Musical Theatre. I was heavily involved in my theatre department – student liaison, director, writer, choreographer, actor, singer, dancer… I did it all. I was able to be a part of school productions and student productions, which helped me grow as an artist.
I decided to move to NYC on a whim. I had never lived anywhere but Georgia at the time, and my friend was starting grad school and needed some roommates. I got here and immediately fell in love. I have done various cabarets and even a Drunk Musical. I found community in taking various dance classes at Broadway Dance Center and voice lessons with Rachel Sandler.
When I’m not auditioning, you can find me at Lululemon (home of theatre artists alike in NYC), nose deep in a new book, or jamming to music.
I’m open and ready to explore new opportunities that may come my way!
